ReserveItLocal respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information shared through our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how it is protected when municipalities and residents use ReserveItLocal.
1. Information We Collect
ReserveItLocal may collect the following information during the reservation process:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
Payment information is processed securely through Stripe. ReserveItLocal does not store full payment card information.
2. How Information Is Used
Information collected through ReserveItLocal may be used to:
- Process reservations and payments
- Send reservation confirmation and cancellation emails
- Allow municipalities to manage reservations
- Provide customer and technical support
- Improve platform functionality and operations
3. Municipality Access to Information
Municipal staff and authorized administrators may access reservation information necessary to manage bookings, cancellations, refunds, and facility operations.
4. Data Ownership
Municipalities retain ownership of their operational reservation data. ReserveItLocal administrators may access reservation data for purposes including platform support, onboarding, troubleshooting, and operational maintenance.
5. Payment Processing
ReserveItLocal uses Stripe for secure payment processing. Municipalities maintain ownership and control of their Stripe accounts. Funds are processed through the municipality's Stripe account before applicable convenience fees are distributed.
6. Data Sharing
ReserveItLocal does not sell or share personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
7. Marketing Communications
ReserveItLocal currently sends transactional communications only, including reservation confirmations and cancellation notifications. ReserveItLocal does not currently send marketing emails to residents.
8. Website Hosting & Security
ReserveItLocal is hosted on Vercel and uses reasonable technical measures to protect platform data and operations.
9. Children's Privacy
ReserveItLocal is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 without parent or guardian involvement.
10. Data Export & Retention
Municipalities may export their reservation data from the platform. Reservation records may be retained for operational, reporting, legal, or support purposes.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
ReserveItLocal may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.
