ReserveItLocal was built out of firsthand frustration with how difficult it is to book public facilities. We believe municipalities should be able to offer a great online booking experience without needing a software budget to do it. It's free because we'd rather earn your trust first — and we earn a small convenience fee from residents at checkout when bookings happen.
No. No setup fee, no onboarding fee, no monthly subscription, no annual license, no per-seat fee, no deductions from booking revenue. The model is simple: if you're not earning, neither are we.
Residents pay the booking price you set, plus a small ReserveItLocal convenience fee ($5 flat on bookings under $100, or 5% on bookings $100 and above), plus a Stripe payment processing fee. All fees are displayed transparently before they confirm.
No contract, no minimum term, no cancellation fee. You can stop using the platform whenever you like.
When a municipality processes a refund, the full booking amount is returned to the resident. The convenience fee and Stripe processing fee are non-refundable, which is standard for online booking platforms.
Any changes to pricing would be communicated well in advance. Municipalities already on the platform would not see retroactive changes.
